STRATEGY

The strategic planning process is a comprehensive, systematic approach to corporate planning.  The process begins by envisioning a desired future, translating this vision into broadly defined goals or objectives, creating a sequence of actions to achieve the objectives and finally mobilizing resources to execute the actions.

Each stage of the process: planning, assessing, initiative selection and executing poses unique problems.  As a result, many strategic plans are not successful.  That is why it is imperative to build a simple, pragmatic, aligned, and actionable process that can be cascaded throughout the organization. 

 

An effective plan will identify better opportunities, mitigate contentious issues and assure alignment throughout the organization using a common language easily understood by all.  In other words, create actual value in the organization.
